Hotel Nizza

it takes exactly one step to succumb to the charm of the Hotel Nizza.
It is this one step over the threshold, after ringing the front doorbell, when the door opens and you enter a place that invites you to stay.
Yours, Stefanie Pesin
For most of our guests our breakfast seems to be the highlight of their stay: fresh, homemade, yummie, made with best ingredients á la minute with verve & esprit!
Small but nice. Surprising. For people, who love to eat & drink delicious.
You can arrive relaxed in our lobby, surrounded by lots of art and friendly guests, where we warmly welcome you at our oder the reception and assist you with your check-in and, of course, your check-out.
We are happy to help you at any time if you need information or would like to call a taxi.
Our idyllic roof garden in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Frankfurt city life is a true jewel of peace and relaxation Thanks to its location high above the streets, it offers a breathtaking view of the Frankfurt skyline.
Surrounded by flowers, plants and chirping birds, you are immediately immersed in an oasis of relaxation.
The garden invites you to forget everyday life with a good book and a cup of tea, or to meet up with friends for a glass of wine and a cosy chat.
In addition to your hotel room, our lounge, also known as the reading room, offers you a kind of communal living room with cosy seating and a well-stocked bookshelf.
We are also happy to hold small meetings or interviews here.
Our small, refined and unagitated bar area with its exit to our charming, planted patio is the perfect place to unwind or meet up with friends or colleagues.
Just behind the bar, you enter our green, idyllic backyard.
On hot days, you’ll find plenty of shade here, surrounded by the lush greenery of the many plants.
A drink from the bar is not far away and smokers will find a place here to smoke in peace.
Lively and divers
The main railway station is around the corner, as are the Schauspiel Frankfurt theatre and the opera.
The city centre and trade fair are also very close, as is the Mainufer with all its museums.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are market day on Kaiserstrasse, less than a 2-minute walk from the hotel.
From a culinary point of view, the Bahnhofsviertel is absolutely multifaceted and has something to offer for every taste.
Numerous bars and trendy locations, as well as traditional Frankfurt restaurants, line the area.
Our hotel is a carefully restored Gründerzeit house with 27 spacious rooms on 5 floors. Unpretentious, but with style and charm.
The Hotel Nizza was founded in 1993 as an artists’ hotel and family-run business, and since then has offered a stylish and unobtrusive home away from home.
Its guests include in particular actors, directors, visual artists, musicians, writers, architects and all teachers of these arts.
The founder, Ursula Gerner, who herself comes from the cultural sector, felt it was important to create a place for like-minded people that is not only affordable, but also provides space for peace and quiet.
Where it is easy to escape the hustle and bustle of the station district and the demands of the stage, exhibition openings, banquets or, in the meantime, (business) construction sites of all kinds.
She has successfully realised this intention with heart and fervour. After a serious illness, she unfortunately had to retire from business life very suddenly.
Fortunately, after a year of uncertainty, her daughter Ursel Gerner junior and her husband Frank Pötzl took over the hotel and put everything back on track in the spirit of her mother/mother-in-law.
The two of them ran the hotel together for another 15 years until I, Stefanie Pesin, took over in 2018.
Nor is there anyone who loves, seeks or desires pain in itself just because it is pain, unless there are fortuitous circumstances in which toil and pain can give him great pleasure.
The room offers enough space for a family stay including WiFi, TV. Make yourself comfortable in a quiet atmosphere…
